- Senior Sergeant Valery Okhmah (call sign Walter), aged 41, was killed in action near the village of Zasillia, in the Mykolaiv region, on March 22, 2022. He sustained fatal injuries during an enemy artillery barrage. Valery Okhmah was born in the village of Myliach, Rivne region. He received his secondary education at Myliach comprehensive school of I-III degrees. In civilian life, he worked on the Lviv Railway. In 2014-2015, he defended the Motherland. He took part in the ATO as part of the TRO "Horyn" battalion. Later, he returned to civilian life. In 2021, the man signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and continued to fight in the JFO. During his service, he received many awards. During the full-scale war, Valery served in the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman. He held the position of senior driver-mechanic. From the first days of the Russian invasion, he stopped the occupiers in Kyiv. Then he went to Mykolaiv, where he had his last battle. "He was brave, courageous, and responsible. His comrades always remember him with dignity and say that they were honored to serve with him," said the deceased's wife, Larisa. Valery was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, wife, children, and grandchildren. Posthumously, the warrior was awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
