Biography
Valerii Viktorovych Budko was born on October 30, 1966, in Ivano-Frankivsk. In 2020, he held the position of deputy chief of the Odessa commandant's office and chief of logistics of military unit A 3519. He was killed on the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, February 24, 2022, during shelling in the village of Petrivka in the Odessa region. He was buried on March 7, 2022, in the Alley of Glory in the village of Chukalivka in Ivano-Frankivsk region. For personal bravery and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Valerii Viktorovych Budko was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree. On October 14, 2022, the family of the deceased was presented with the award of the Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk "For Honor and Valor" of the I degree (posthumously).Burial place
