- Soldier Valeriy Myshchenko (call sign Khata) was killed on August 7, 2023, in the area of the Serebryanske forestry, near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. During the enemy shelling, he received fatal injuries. On September 6, the warrior would have turned 24 years old. Valeriy was born and lived in the village of Hannivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the Hannivka Lyceum. Then he attended Verkhnodniprovsk vocational school No. 80. He worked in construction. He spent a lot of time with his friends. He loved fishing, children, driving, coffee, and delicious food. During the full-scale war, on April 22, 2022, the man voluntarily joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 15th separate Sloviansk regiment. He held the position of a machine gunner in the guard company platoon. He was awarded the Order "For Valiant Service". "He was always cheerful, helped the elderly - in general, everyone around spoke well of him. A smile was always on his face. He adored his family. Kind, sincere, straightforward, always came to help, bright, courageous, strong, a true patriot of his country. He had authority among his comrades-in-arms. During the fighting, he saved some of them, carrying them on his hands," said the sister of the fallen Anastasia Lysenko. The National Guard soldier was buried in his native village.
