Valerii V. Radik

Valeriy Radik, a serviceman, was killed on December 12, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Mariinka in the Donetsk region. The enemy's artillery shelling cut short the life of the 31-year-old defender. Valeriy was born in the city of Kakhovka, Kherson region. He lived in the Malynska community in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Novokakhovsk Polytechnic Professional College of the National University "Odesa Polytechnic", where he obtained the profession of an electrician. He worked in various fields and held various positions. He spent some time abroad. In his free time, he loved to cook and go on picnics with friends. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his native country and his loved ones from the occupiers. Valeriy fought as part of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. More than anything, he dreamed of returning home and living in a free country. "A cheerful and bright person, positive, kind, open, very hardworking, always ready to help, sociable, loved life in all its manifestations. Rest in peace, brother, you will forever be in our hearts," wrote the deceased's sister Natalia. The warrior was buried in the village of Guto-Loganivska, Zhytomyr region. Valeriy is survived by his parents, sister, relatives, and friends.
