- Born on September 29, 1967, in the city of Vinnytsia. In 1984, he graduated from secondary school No. 33 in Vinnytsia, then from vocational technical school No. 19 in Vinnytsia. After completing his studies, he worked as an installer-welder at the Vinnytsia Radio Technical Equipment Plant "Mayak." From 1985 to 1987, he served in the Soviet Armed Forces. Since 2000, he worked abroad for a long time. In August 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 54th Separate Guards Reconnaissance Battalion of the Pruhtsko-Pomeranian Orders of Kutuzov, Bohdan Khmelnytsky, and Alexander Nevsky of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2076, city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). Since the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was a participant in the defense of the city of Debaltseve in the Donetsk region. On August 4, 2015, soldier Trofymchuk died from injuries sustained during a mortar shelling by a Russian-terrorist group at the observation point of Ukrainian troops on the spoil heap of the "Yuzhna" mine near the urban-type settlement of Leninske in the Dzerzhynsk City Council of the Donetsk region (since 2016 - the urban-type settlement of Pivdenne in the Toretsk City Council). On August 6, 2015, he was buried at the Glory Alley of the Central Cemetery in Vinnytsia. On May 6, 2016, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Vinnytsia on the facade of secondary school No. 33 (Vasyl Poryk Street, 20), where Valerii Trofymchuk studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
