Vasyl I. Dobrych

24-year-old senior soldier Vasyl Dobrych was killed on January 25, 2023, near the village of Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the warrior received fatal injuries as a result of enemy mortar and tank shelling. Vasyl was born in the city of Horodok, Lviv region. In 2017, he graduated from the technical college of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic". He worked at the company "Dunapak Ukraine" in the city of Khodoriv, Lviv region. After completing his military service, he returned to this job. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, as well as to skydive and do sports. He dreamed of traveling a lot. During the full-scale war, Vasyl was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner in the 46th separate air assault brigade. "My husband was a very kind and strong guy. He was always positive, courageous, fair, determined, a loyal friend who never left in trouble. He was a ray of sunshine that charged with his energy. He always believed in our victory. He was the only child of his mother. We dreamed and made many plans for our long and happy future, which will never come true again. The war took away the most precious and dear thing I had. Eternal memory to all the defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives for our peaceful future," said the warrior's wife. The para trooper was buried in the city of Khodoriv, Lviv region. Vasyl is survived by his mother and wife.
