Vasyl I. Konet

Vasyl Ivanovych Konet was born on March 15, 2002, in the village of Vorvulintsi, Chortkiv District, Ternopil Oblast. He graduated from Vorvulynska Secondary School. In the fall of 2021, he signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine and began service in the 3rd Separate Brigade of Operational Purpose. On March 1, while carrying out a combat mission, the vehicle in which National Guardsman Vasyl Konet was traveling came under enemy ambush. As a result of enemy fire, the vehicle lost control. However, the personnel did not panic, took up defensive positions, and returned fire. The enemy abandoned their positions, but unfortunately, during the battle, Vasyl was killed. He was buried on March 14, 2022, in his native village.
