Vasyl I. Rii

Born on July 20, 1967, in the village of Novyi Vytkiv, Radekhiv district, Lviv region. Graduated from high school. Lived in the village of Yosypivka, Radekhiv district, Lviv region. Worked at the limited liability company "Mebel-Servis." Mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Was demobilized and returned home. After some time, signed a contract for further military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served in the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V0927, cities of Sievierodonetsk/Lysychansk, Luhansk region). Again participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 16, 2016, soldier Rii was killed as a result of an accident in the area of the urban-type settlement of Zaitseve, Horlivka city council (now Bakhmut district) in Donetsk region. On July 20, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Yosypivka, Radekhiv district, Lviv region.
