Vasyl M. Kurasov (Boiets)

Main Sergeant Vasyl Kurasov (call sign Boets) died on August 8, 2023 near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 52 years old. Vasyl was born in the village of Zavydo-Kudasheve, Donetsk region. He graduated from school. Then he studied at the Donetsk College. In 1996-2016 he worked in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. During his work, he was fond of fire-applied sports. In 2016-2018, he participated in the ATO / JFO as part of the 90th separate airmobile battalion of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought in the Donetsk (Dokuchaievsk, Kurdiumivka, Horlivka, Svitlodarsk arc) and Luhansk (Shchastia) regions. After demobilization, he lived mainly in the countryside - in the village at the dacha, where he bred livestock. He was very fond of sports, which he practiced throughout his life, ran and did physical exercises every day. With the start of the full-scale war, the man again stood up to defend Ukraine from the occupiers. He served in the 426th separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a squad commander. "Father was involved in sports all his life. Even at the age of 52, his physical condition was better than that of the younger generation. For him, there were no words "back" or "retreat". He always went in the front ranks, probably that's why he died. The motto in life: "Endure, fighter." I will do everything possible so that the memory of my father does not fade away," the deceased's younger son said. The defender was buried in the village of Zavydo-Kudasheve in the Donetsk region. Vasyl left behind a wife and two children.
