Vasyl M. Tsiurkalo (Anhel)

Soldier Vasyl Tsiurkalo (call sign Angel) died on December 3, 2022, from a bullet fired by an enemy sniper while defending positions near the village of Bilohirivka in Donetsk region. The warrior was 25 years old. Vasyl was born in the village of Bitlia, Lviv region. After school, he obtained the profession of a cook-confectioner at the Sambir Vocational Lyceum of Service Sphere. He was married and raised a child. He planned for the future and above all dreamed of living in a free country. During the full-scale invasion, Vasyl joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a serviceman of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He held the position of a rifleman-assistant grenadier. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he carried out combat missions in the most dangerous areas of the front. "My beloved was very sincere and infinitely kind. We were very happy with him. He was the best for me, the best and will remain... Vasya never let me grieve. Thank God, I was worthy of you. Such as you are waited for all their lives, even for a moment. And we had three years. The best for both of us... Forever in our hearts," said the wife of the fallen Halyna. The defender was buried in his native village. Vasyl is survived by his parents, wife, daughter, and brothers with their families.
