- 51-year-old Master Sergeant Vasyl Blyzniuk (call sign Batia) was killed on July 2, 2023 near the village of Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during enemy tank and mortar shelling. Vasyl was a native of the village of Vernіanka in the Vinnytsia region. He graduated from Komarhород Vocational School No. 39, where he mastered the profession of a wide-profile tractor driver-mechanic with the ability to perform repair work as a mechanic. He was married and lived with his family in the village of Trylisy in the Kyiv region. He worked in law enforcement and security, and his last job was at the private enterprise "Stend" in Kyiv. In his free time, he loved fishing and picking mushrooms. He was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. During the full-scale war, Vasyl took up arms again and went to the front. He served in the 415th Separate Rifle Battalion (military unit A4884) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of platoon sergeant. "Vasyl was a very cheerful and generous person, he shared his last. He loved Ukraine very much. He dreamed of a flourishing and free country without corrupt officials. He wanted our children and grandchildren to live safely in Ukraine," his wife said. The warrior was buried in the village of Trylisy in the Kyiv region. At home, Vasyl was awaited by his mother Varvara Savivna, his wife Larysa, his daughter Bohdana, and his grandson Vladyslav.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
