Vasyl V. Havryliuk (Dzhubi)

Vasyl Vasilyovych Havyryliuk was born on May 29, 1981, in the village of Kryvorivnia, Verkhovyna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In May 2022, Junior Sergeant Vasyl Havyryliuk was called up for military service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine as part of mobilization and carried out combat missions in the Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions. Since October 12, 2022, Vasyl Havyryliuk, as part of a combined detachment of the Border Guard Service (Type C) of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, participated in the defense of frontline areas in the Luhansk region, particularly near the village of Novovodyane in the Svatove district. The positions of the Ukrainian defenders were under constant pressure from the aggressor. On November 16, 2022, at 7:30 AM, during a firefight with the enemy, Vasyl Havyryliuk was killed by a gunshot wound. For personal bravery and selfless actions demonstrated in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Junior Sergeant Vasyl Vasilyovych Havyryliuk was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III class.
