- 29-year-old scout Vasil Koloda (call sign Pheasant) was killed in action on June 28, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Spirne in Donetsk region. Vasil was born in the village of Ozerne, Rivne region. In 2010, he graduated from Ozerne comprehensive school of I-III degrees. During his studies, he proved to be a good, friendly, sensitive, hardworking student. He loved sports and actively participated in the life of the school. He enjoyed considerable respect among his classmates and teachers. After graduating from school, he entered Volodymyrets VPU-29, mastered the profession of a welder. He served his conscript service in the air defense missile forces in the Lviv region. In 2014, with the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, he went to defend Ukraine. He took part in the ATO as part of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade. He fought battles in Donetsk region — near the settlements of Pisky, Vodiane, Opytne. During the full-scale war, Pheasant served in the reconnaissance company of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. "Good, sensitive, always smiling. He will be 29 forever...", noted the class leader Kateryna Morochenets. The defender was buried in his native village. Vasil was survived by his parents and three brothers.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
