Koshelev Vasyl Volodymyrovich was born on September 15, 1997, in the village of Katerynivka, Kamiansky district, Cherkasy region. After graduating from secondary school, he obtained the profession of a painter-plasterer in the city of Smila, Cherkasy region. At the age of 18, he was conscripted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, later signed a contract, and served for three years in a military unit in the city of Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Subsequently, he lived in the village of Burkovtsi, Kyiv region. On the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine through mobilization. Due to the fact that Vasyl Koshelev did not have time to reach his military unit, he was assigned to the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He held the position of deputy commander of a combat vehicle, gunner-operator of the 2nd mechanized company of the 1st mechanized battalion. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he was at the forefront in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as in the Sumy region. He died on April 22, 2022, near the urban-type settlement of Kozacha Lopan, Derhachiv territorial community, Kharkiv district, Kharkiv region. The crew of the BMP-2, which included Vasyl, did not have time to evacuate from the burning combat vehicle.Місце поховання

- Sergeant Vasyl Koshelev (call sign Lampochka) died on April 22, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region. The defender was 24 years old. Vasyl was born in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. He obtained a secondary specialized education at vocational school No. 12. He worked as a plasterer. He lived with his family in the village of Burkovtsi, Kyiv region. During the full-scale war, he defended the country as part of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians, holding the position of deputy commander of a combat vehicle, gunner-operator. Vasyl Koshelev was awarded the "Veteran of War" badge and the Order of Courage III degree (posthumously). "He always cared about us, remained positive in any situation. He was always smiling, his comrades-in-arms recall that Vasya often cheered everyone up, they said that he shone like a light bulb, so they gave him such a call sign. We miss him very much - a loving father and husband," said the warrior's wife, Olha. The defender was buried in the village of Burkovtsi, Kyiv region. Vasyl is survived by his wife and two daughters. In the village of Burkovtsi, Nadvorsky Street was renamed in honor of Vasyl Koshelev.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
