Vasyl V. Litvinchuk (Atom)

Senior soldier Vasyl Litvinchuk (call sign Atom) was killed on December 23, 2022 near Bakhmut in Donetsk region. During the evacuation of his comrades, he came under enemy fire and received fatal injuries. The warrior was forever 38 years old. Vasyl was from the village of Netreba, Rivne region. He lived with his family in the city of Varash. He obtained the profession of a forester and a law enforcement officer of the State Security Service. He worked in the second profession for about 10 years. Then he quit and became a long-distance driver. He loved to devote his free time to fishing, it was his greatest passion. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Vasyl decided to defend his native country. He joined the 14th separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior driver. He had certificates for high achievements in official activities, conscientious fulfillment of military duty during the full-scale war. "My husband was a patriot of his country. He had a cheerful, kind disposition. He was a wonderful loving husband, the best dad. He had a big and kind heart. He helped everyone and was the best on Earth," wrote the wife of the fallen. The military was buried in his native village. At home, Vasyl was awaited by his mother Valentyna Ivanivna, father Vasyl Mykhailovych, brother Ivan, sister Natalia, wife Nina and son Illia. He was posthumously awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Varash City Territorial Community".
