- Born on November 22, 1990, in the city of Rakhiv, Zakarpattia region. In 2008, he graduated from secondary school No. 2 in Rakhiv. In the spring of 2009, he was drafted for compulsory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 160th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2800 - the village of Zhovtneva Revolution, Bilyaivka district, Odesa region). In the spring of 2010, he was discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the reserve. From July 14, 2011, he served under contract in the 128th Separate Guards Mountain Infantry Zakarpattia Brigade (military unit A1778 - the city of Uzhhorod). After a year and a half, he was transferred to the 24th Iron Brigade named after Prince Daniel of Galicia of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0998 - the city of Yavoriv, Lviv region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 14, 2014, in the area of the urban-type settlement of Novosvitlivka, Krasnodon district, Luhansk region, during an operation to block the city of Luhansk, soldier Martyniuk was killed as a result of a mortar shelling. He was buried on August 20, 2014, in the city cemetery of Rakhiv. On May 29, 2015, a memorial plaque was installed in the city of Rakhiv on the facade of secondary school No. 2 (Shevchenka Street, 180), where Vasyl Martyniuk studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
