Vasyl V. Mymokhod

Soldier Vasyl Mykhod died on October 27, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Spirne in Donetsk region. The fighter was 29 years old. Vasyl was born in the city of Khodoriv, Lviv region. He studied at the local school No. 2. He then obtained a profession as a painter at the Khodoriv Professional College. During the full-scale Russian invasion, he decided to defend his homeland. Vasyl joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took the position of an operator of an anti-tank guided missile squad in the infantry company of the infantry battalion. Together with his comrades, he went to the front lines. Later, he sustained serious injuries, but after treatment, he immediately returned because he could not leave his friends for long. "Vasyl had no military experience, but when the war began, he did not hesitate to defend our Motherland. He was a good, strong, brave warrior and a patriot of Ukraine," said the soldier's sister, Marta. "This terrible war has taken our young compatriot again... A terrible tragedy and unspeakable pain. A faithful son of Ukrainian land has died — Vasyl Mykhod. He was not even 30... Young, full of strength and wonderful dreams. The hope and support of his parents. Unfortunately, the hated enemy took the life of a faithful defender of Ukraine," noted in the Khodoriv community. Vasyl was buried in his hometown. At home, his mother, brothers, and sisters were waiting for him.
