Vasyl V. Romaniuk

Soldier Vasyl Romaniuk was killed on December 16, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhia region. The defender sustained multiple shrapnel wounds to the torso with bone and internal organ damage. Vasyl was born in the village of Liubokhyny in Volyn. After getting married, he moved to the settlement of Holoby. He received his education at the Rozhyshche Professional College of the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies named after S.Z. Gzhytskyi. He mastered the profession of a veterinary medical assistant. He worked as a senior veterinary physician at TzOV "Vira-1". A few years before the full-scale invasion, he bought a house for his family and started renovating it himself. He dreamed of a peaceful and happy family life. During the Great War, he served in the ranks of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He worked with an anti-tank missile system. "He was a loving dad, a beloved and caring husband, the best son and a kind son-in-law. A very kind, life-loving, bright and inquisitive person. A person with a capital letter. He was respected, honored, and held in high regard by his colleagues. He was a professional in his field, always came to the aid of those in need. Everyone who knew my Vasya speaks of him only in a good way. It seems to me that such bright people simply do not exist..." - said his wife Oksana Romaniuk. Vasyl was buried in the settlement of Holoby, Volyn region. The defender is survived by his wife Oksana, daughter Ivanka, and parents Vita and Vasyl.
