Vasyl Ya. Faliovskyi

Soldier Vasyl Faliovskyi was killed on September 20, 2022, during battles near the village of Berestove in Donetsk Oblast as a result of enemy tank shelling. The defender was 45 years old. Vasyl was born in the city of Kalush in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. After school, he graduated from the Kalush Chemical Technology College. He worked as the deputy head of a department at a chemical enterprise. He dedicated all his free time to building his own house. He loved to travel and relax in nature. During the full-scale war, he went to defend Ukraine, serving in the ranks of the 8th Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. Since September 11, he had stopped communicating. His family was very worried. But on September 20 at 5:40 PM, his wife received a message: "I am alive. Everything is fine. I will call." He didn't have time. Two hours later, Vasyl was killed. "Throughout his life, Vasyl was a worthy example not only for his children but also for those around him. He built a house, into which he put a lot of work, planted more than one tree, and raised wonderful sons. He was a reliable support for his wife, a loving and the best husband. Everyone knew him as a decent, honest, modest, incredibly calm, kind, and sincere person," his wife Olha said. The serviceman was buried at the Alley of Glory in his hometown of Kalush. Vasyl is survived by his mother, wife, and two sons.
