Vasyl Ya. Slipak (Mif)

Opera singer (bass-baritone). From 1983 to 1994, he was a soloist of the Lviv Academic Choir Chapel "Dudaryk." In 1997, he graduated from the Lviv Conservatory and was invited to the Paris Opera. Since 1997, he has lived in France. Finalist of the international opera competition Armel. During the Revolution of Dignity, he participated in the actions of the Ukrainian diaspora in France. As a volunteer for the organization "Fraternite Ukrainienne/ Ukrainian Brotherhood," he helped Ukrainian defenders, met with fighters of the DUK PS, and later joined the 7th Separate Battalion of the DUK. In the summer of 2015, he fought in Pisky in the area of the Donetsk airport. After returning from the front, he continued his volunteer activities, giving charity concerts at the Ukrainian Center in Paris, helping orphaned children who lost their parents in the war. In the summer of 2016, he went back to Donbas, bringing collected aid to volunteer defenders.
