- Soldier Vasyl Tiasko (call sign Pysар) was killed on May 24, 2024 near the village of Tykhe in the Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy shelling. The defender was 51 years old. Vasyl was born in the village of Shevchenkove, Kyiv region. He lived in Pereiaslav. He received his general secondary education at the Pereiaslav-Khmilnytskyi boarding school. After the 8th grade, he studied at SPTU-22 to become a radio electronics equipment installer. In 1991, he went to the army and served for 2 years. In 1994, he entered the Skovoroda State Pedagogical Institute in Pereiaslav, majoring in Pedagogy and Methods of Teaching Elementary Education and Fine Arts. In civilian life, he was engaged in furniture making. He loved to model furniture from wood and then manufacture it. He adored mushroom picking and was passionate about sports. During the full-scale invasion, the man became a military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of gunner in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Koshovy Otaman Kostya Hordiienko. "The godfather was an incredibly sincere and bright person. He had a sharp mind, a great sense of humor, and it was always cozy and interesting to be around him. A true son of Ukraine, a patriot, a wonderful father, husband, and a talented person - there was no task that the godfather could not accomplish," said the late's niece and goddaughter Daria Solovko. Vasyl was buried in Pereiaslav, Kyiv region. He is survived by his wife Liudmyla, daughters Anastasiia and Mariia, son Anton, sisters Svitlana and Tetiana, as well as other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
