- Junior Sergeant Vyacheslav Hladkyi (call sign Chak) was killed on November 5, 2022, near the village of Chervonopopivka in the Luhansk region. He sustained a fatal shrapnel wound to the head while carrying out a combat mission. The warrior was 31 years old. Vyacheslav was born in the village of Dar-Nadezhda in the Kharkiv region. He lived in the city of Krasnohrad in Kharkiv Oblast. He studied at the Kharkiv Academy of Railway Transport. In civilian life, he worked as a drilling assistant at the Krestyshchyna drilling department of the branch of the state company "Ukrgazvydobuvannya." From 2015 to 2018, he participated in the ATO / JFO. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion, he once again took up the defense of his country against the enemy. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the chief sergeant of the platoon — commander of the combat vehicle. "Vyacheslav was fair, positive, and lived life to the fullest. He was the best advisor and support for me. He had many friends around him. The life of the party. He went to the front on the first day of the full-scale invasion," said his sister Iryna Ustyimenko. The hero was buried at the Central Cemetery in Krasnohrad, Kharkiv region. Vyacheslav is survived by his mother, sister, niece, grandmother, other relatives, friends, and comrades.
