Viacheslav I. Bondar (Staryi)

Bondar Viacheslav Ivanovych was born on July 29, 1976, in the city of Zhytomyr. After graduating from Zhytomyr VPU No. 17, he worked as a machine tool technologist. Since 2015, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) / Joint Forces Operation (JFO). He took part in battles for the city of Mariupol and other settlements in eastern Ukraine. In 2019, he retired due to health reasons. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he again defended his homeland. He served as part of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He was killed on April 29, 2022, near the village of Dovhenke in the Kharkiv region. He was buried on May 7, 2022, in the military cemetery in his hometown. He is survived by his parents, wife, and two daughters.
