Viacheslav M. Sydoruk (Slava)

Serviceman Viacheslav Sydoruk was killed on February 22, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Vodiane in the Donetsk region. The soldier was 33 years old. Viacheslav was born in the city of Berezhne, Rivne region. He studied to be a forester at the Berezhne Forestry College of the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering. The last 9 years he lived with his family in the city of Kostopil. He worked as a builder and made monuments. In his free time, he loved to fish. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On August 1, 2022, he went to military training in the United Kingdom. And on September 5, he joined the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He took the position of gunner. "My husband was kind, hardworking, and sociable. The best husband and father," said the widow of the deceased, Anna. "During the performance of combat missions, Viacheslav managed to save his comrade. He bravely stood in battle against our common enemy, surviving many tank attacks, but the cruel war took the best one again... The ideal husband and father - Viacheslav was hardworking, he was good at any task he took on," noted the Kostopil City Council. The hero was buried in the "Nove" cemetery in the city of Kostopil. At home, Viacheslav was awaited by his parents, four sisters, a brother, his wife, and daughter.
