- Born on February 23, 1977, in the village of Lypnyky, Luhynskyi district, Zhytomyr region, in a military family. He lived with his family in the urban-type settlement of Novi Bilokorovychi, Olefskyi district, Zhytomyr region. In 1994, he graduated from the general education school of the urban-type settlement of Novi Bilokorovychi. On August 1, 1994, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Olefskyi district military commissariat of Zhytomyr region. In 1999, he graduated from the Kharkiv Military University with a degree in "Rocket and Space Complexes." From 1999, he served in the 30th Guards Tank Division (from 2003 - the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade) of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409 (field post V2731), city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region), with his last position being the deputy commander of a rocket artillery battery in the rocket artillery division. From spring-summer 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 30, 2014, Senior Lieutenant Utkyn was killed as a result of artillery shelling in the area of the city of Luhuhyne, Luhansk region. On September 2, 2014, he was buried at the Glory Alley of the military memorial cemetery (Chekhov Street) in the city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
