- 36-year-old Senior Sergeant Vyacheslav Didushko (call sign Deda) was killed on July 31, 2023 near the village of Novoplatonivka in the Kharkiv region. While returning from a combat mission, he came under enemy artillery fire and received fatal injuries. Vyacheslav was born in the capital. He lived in Berezan, Kyiv region. He graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" with a degree in "Welding Technology and Equipment". In 2005, he took the oath and served in the military in Chernihiv, where he was an electrician-driver. He was then transferred to service in Chuhuiv. In civilian life, he worked at a Nova Poshta branch in Kyiv. He was passionate about music, fishing, hiking, and cars. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in December 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training in the Kyiv region and at the end of January 2023 became a fighter of the 44th Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he held the position of driver in the engineer-sapper platoon. To improve his qualifications, he was sent to Poland. Upon his return, he successfully passed the exam and became a driver-sapper. "Vyacheslav was a very sincere, kind and responsible person. He always helped people. He loved his family and life very much! I am proud of my brother, my parents are proud of their son, and the children are proud of their father. He was a man of honor and courage, an example of unbreakability and strength of spirit for many. For me, he was the best brother who protected me since childhood and raised me to be a good person, never left me in trouble, was my support. He raised my son as his own, taught him to be a real man!" - wrote the deceased's sister. The defender was buried in Berezan, Kyiv region. Vyacheslav is survived by his mother Olga, father Vyacheslav, sister Oleksandra, children Anna and David, and other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
