Viacheslav V. Tolmachiov (Ridik)

Senior soldier Viacheslav Tolmachov (call sign Ridik) was killed on July 14, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Kozachi Laheri in the Kherson region. The warrior was forever 31 years old. Viacheslav was born in the village of Mala Tymoshivka, Kirovohrad region. Since childhood, he lived in the village of Baltazarivka in the Kherson region. There he graduated from a secondary school. In 2015-2016, he took part in the ATO as part of the 24th OSB. In civilian life, he worked as a laborer. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man, having combat experience, took up arms again and went to the front. He fought in the ranks of the Shaman battalion of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. "My husband defended us with the children. We will always be proud of him. He always said: 'Who will go, if not me?'. I am proud of my husband, and the children will always be proud of their father, his courage, and his strength of spirit! Eternal memory to those who gave their lives for Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!"- wrote Valeria Tolmachova. The scout was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. At home, Viacheslav was awaited by his wife, two sons, as well as relatives, close ones, and friends.
