Viktor A. Denysiuk (Den)

27-year-old fighter Viktor Denysyuk (call sign Den) was killed on September 6, 2023 near the village of Hulyaipilske, Zaporizhzhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, the defender came under enemy mortar fire and received fatal injuries. Viktor was from the city of Synelnykove, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from Myroliubivske Technical School and obtained the profession of a locksmith. In peacetime, he worked at a factory. In 2017-2018, he participated in the ATO / JFO. Before the full-scale invasion, he worked in offset printing. He was fond of fishing. He loved to spend his free time with his family. During the full-scale war, in March 2022, the man took up arms again and stood to defend his country. He served in the 108th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was a senior rifleman. "He was a loving husband and a good stepfather. He loved his nephews very much. He was cheerful and full of life. For me, he is a hero who was not afraid and went to defend Ukraine," said the wife of the deceased, Kateryna. Viktor was buried in his hometown. At home, he was awaited by his mother, wife, stepson, sister and nephews.
