Viktor A. Pustovoi

Senior Sergeant Viktor Pustovoi was killed on December 6, 2022 near the settlement of Kurdyumivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he came under enemy mortar fire and received a fatal injury. The warrior was 44 years old. Viktor was born and lived in Kyiv. He graduated from a school in the capital's Obolon district. He was a professional driver. In civilian life, he was engaged in entrepreneurial activities. Family and cars were his greatest values and hobbies. For the sake of his family, the man went to the front during the full-scale invasion. Viktor fought in the ranks of the 23rd separate special purpose battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "We were very happy... He was a real best friend, husband, dad and patriot," said the widow of the fallen Olena. Viktor was buried at the Forest Cemetery in the capital. At home, his wife and daughter were waiting for him. The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
