Viktor B. Borzhyievskyi

Soldier Viktor Borzhievskyi was killed on March 17, 2023, in the village of Dibrova in the Luhansk region from a bullet fired by an enemy sniper. The defender was forever 36 years old. Viktor was from the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from the local construction college and then the Odesa Construction University. In civilian life, he worked as an engineer at PJSC "Podilskyi Cement". In his free time, he engaged in snowboarding, sports tourism, and rock climbing. He was a master of sports, a five-time champion of Ukraine, a judge of children's and youth competitions, a member of the "Vertykal" team, with whom he conquered Elbrus. During the full-scale war, he stood up to defend Ukraine. He held the position of gunner in the 16th separate motorized infantry battalion. "My brother was very active, energetic, and always achieved his goal. He traveled around the world and constantly wanted to see and explore something new. Purposeful, fair, kind, sincere, he knew how to defend his opinion," said Natalia Kivilsha. The defender was buried on the Alley of Glory of the central cemetery in Kamianets-Podilskyi. He is survived by his parents, brother, sister, and nephews. Posthumously, Viktor Borzhievskyi was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
