Viktor D. Kuievda

Soldier Viktor Kuievda was killed on December 29, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Terniv, Donetsk region. Two weeks before his death, the defender turned 27 years old. Viktor was from the Luhansk region. He stuwas killed at Popasna Lyceum No. 20 and Bryankivskyi Professional College. He obtained the profession of a welder at the Popasna Professional Lyceum of Railway Transport. During the Russian-Ukrainian war, in 2015, the man moved with his family to the Cherkasy region. In 2018, he completed his military service. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Viktor was mobilized in March 2022 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of an anti-aircraft gunner in the anti-aircraft missile platoon of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. "Eternal memory and glory to you, brother. For us, you will always be an example of courage and heroism," wrote the fallen's comrade Yehor Sinichenko. Viktor was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Central Cemetery in the city of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, Cherkasy region. He is survived by his parents.
