Viktor H. Orel (Tykhyi)

29-year-old junior sergeant Viktor Orel (call sign Tykhy) died on September 4, 2023 near the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. While rescuing a wounded comrade, he came under enemy mortar fire and received fatal injuries. Viktor was from the settlement of Sakhnovshchyna in the Kharkiv region. He graduated from the Chuhuiv Vocational School. In civilian life, he worked at the "Stilwest" factory. He adored life, nature, and animals. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man went to defend his country and his loved ones. He fought in the ranks of the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of gunner. "He was incredibly gentle and sensitive. I have never met such people. He is a God-given person. He had such a difficult life: improper parents, boarding school... But he never refused to help, because he himself went through this school of life," said the wife of the fallen Marharyta. The warrior was buried in the village of Synivka in the Sumy region. At home, Viktor was awaited by his wife, relatives, and friends.
