Viktor I. Panchenko (Pan)

Victor Panchenko (call sign PAN), a scout, was killed on February 19, 2023, during a battle with the occupiers near the city of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. The life of the warrior was cut short by enemy mortar fire. The defender was 38 years old. Victor was born and lived in the city of Myrhorod, Poltava region. He studied at school No. 5. He graduated from the Myrhorod Vocational School No. 44. He worked as an operator-loader at an elevator at Agrotech-Garantiya LLC. In his free time, he loved fishing. On February 24, 2022, the man without hesitation stood up to defend his country from the Russian occupiers. Victor joined the ranks of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He performed combat missions in the position of a scout-gunner. He was a brave and courageous warrior. "This is a sensitive and dear person to me. A real man, my guardian angel. I love him!" - wrote the wife of the fallen Yulia. The hero was buried in his hometown. Victor left behind a mother, wife, and children. Posthumously, Senior Soldier Victor Panchenko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. He was also awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Myrhorod City Territorial Community". In December 2023, a memorial plaque was unveiled in his honor at Myrhorod School No. 5.
