Viktor M. Domanovskyi

Viktor Mykhailovych Domanovskyi was born on May 13, 1976, in the village of Zarichne, Rivne region. In 1994, he graduated from the Zarichne school. From 1994 to 1996, he served in the military. In 1996, Viktor studied at the sergeants' school in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, and later served in the units of the Lutsk border detachment. In 2001, he was discharged after completing his contract. In 1999, he married his beloved Halyna. Later, the couple had two children: a son, Mykola, and a daughter, Iryna. To provide for his family, Viktor worked in other countries. He loved to paint and write with a pen. On March 3, 2022, staff sergeant Viktor Domanovskyi was called up for military service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine during mobilization. He served in the border service departments "Yasenytsia," "Vychivka," and in the rapid response border command of the 9th border detachment. On April 22, 2023, as part of the rapid response border command, staff sergeant Viktor Domanovskyi was dispatched to an area of direct combat with the enemy army of the Russian Federation in Eastern Ukraine, where he demonstrated courage and the best combat qualities. On June 27, 2023, Viktor Domanovskyi, as part of the rapid response border command unit, was carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Karmazynivka, Luhansk region. The enemy constantly carried out artillery and mortar shelling of the unit's location, using armored vehicles to break through our defense. At 14:10, the enemy began a tank attack, trying to advance and seize the border guards' positions. Viktor Domanovskyi, together with his comrades, engaged in an unequal battle with the enemy and gave a worthy repulse, preventing a breakthrough of his defense line. During the combat confrontation in a firefight, staff sergeant Viktor Domanovskyi sustained a gunshot wound incompatible with life.
