Viktor M. Khushkov

Soldier Viktor Khushkov was killed on October 8, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Pisky in the Donetsk region. The fighter received a fatal gunshot wound from an enemy sniper. Viktor was from the Vinnytsia region. He studied at the local school No. 10. In 1998, he graduated from an aviation school. He worked as a mechanic in the test production. He served in the military. When he returned home, he worked in various fields: as a loader, a salesman in a vegetable store, a security guard, and a worker at a refrigeration equipment plant. He always approached his duties responsibly and professionally, for which he was respected by his colleagues. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in March 2022, Viktor was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 115th separate mechanized brigade, holding the position of master of the disassembly and assembly department of the repair platoon of the automotive equipment repair and restoration battalion. "Vitya was and will remain for me a Brother with a capital letter. Smart, honest, fair, with a great sense of humor. For my mother, he was a loving nephew. A beloved husband and father of two sons. Vitya was a patriot of Ukraine, who defended our families and the country until his last breath. Eternal memory, honor, and respect to the hero! Heroes do not die, they remain in our hearts forever," said his cousin Victoria. The defender was buried in the village of Yakushyntsi, Vinnytsia region. Viktor is survived by his wife, two sons, relatives, and friends.
