Viktor M. Kondratiuk

Soldier Viktor Kondratyuk was killed on October 25, 2023 during a mortar attack near the village of Novoprokopivka in the Zaporizhia region. He was 41 years old. Viktor was born in the village of Stavychany in the Khmilnytskyi region, where he spent his childhood and youth. He obtained the profession of a computer typist. He completed several courses at the International University of Economics and Humanities named after Academician Stepan Demyanchuk. He loved to read books. He worked as a computer science teacher and later at a district newspaper. His last place of work was the company "Tsersanit Invest". During the full-scale war, in July 2023, Viktor was drafted into military service. Initially, he defended Ukraine as part of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade, and later the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade. He was a senior gunner. "Cheerful and bright, he was a very energetic, cheerful, intelligent, and positive person. He loved life and had many plans that he dreamed of realizing. He also planned to be a part of a great victory, dreamed of returning home with a victory and in a maroon beret. He was very proud that he got into the airborne assault troops. Viktor was sincere, honest, kind and responsible. With a charming smile on his face. His words and actions encouraged others. He never complained if it was difficult, he steadfastly endured the trials. Wise, fair, sensitive, romantic, tender and caring. He was very worried about his relatives and tried to protect them from the worst. He was and remains the best son and brother. This is a very great and painful loss, he will always be in our hearts," said Viktor's relatives and friends. The defender was buried in his native village. He is survived by his mother, brother and friends.
