- Senior Lieutenant Viktor Loza died on March 17, 2022 from severe injuries he sustained in February during the defense of his native Chernihiv from Russian invaders. The man was born and lived his entire life in Chernihiv. He stu at local school No. 11. In 2000, he graduated from the school of warrant officers. He worked in the fire safety service and the military commissariat. In his free time, he enjoyed relaxing with friends in nature and fishing. Since 2013, Viktor has held the position of commander of the BMP of the 1st separate Siverska tank brigade. Since 2014, he has been participating in the ATO in Donbas. In 2016, he graduated from the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolev with a degree in "Information Technologies" and received his initial officer rank. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Viktor commanded a mortar battery in his native 1st tank brigade. From the first days, he defended the Chernihiv region. "My father was a kind, sensitive, reliable person not only for his friends, relatives and loved ones, but also for the country. Without hesitation, he has been defending Ukraine since 2014," said the deceased's daughter Viktoria. "Rest in peace, I had the honor of serving with you," wrote his comrade Oleksandr. The officer was buried in the cemetery in Yalivshchyna in the Chernihiv region. Viktor is survived by his mother and daughter. Senior Lieutenant Viktor Loza was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
