- Born on June 27, 1971, in the village of Znamianske, Chornomorskyi district of the Crimea region (now - Autonomous Republic of Crimea). Graduated from high school in Crimea and a vocational technical school specializing in "electrician" in Luhansk region. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of the USSR. Worked as an electrician at a mine in the city of Yenakiieve, Donetsk region. In 1995, moved with relatives to the village of Dovbysh, Chudniv district, Zhytomyr region. Worked at a local agricultural enterprise. On August 15, 2014, was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Underwent military retraining at the Yavoriv and Mykolaiv training grounds. Served as a service number in the 79th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0224, city of Mykolaiv). Since the fall of 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On November 24, 2014, in the area of the village of Pisky, Yasynuvata district, Donetsk region, a shell hit the dugout where junior sergeant Obolentsev was located. From the injuries sustained, the serviceman died. On November 26, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Dovbysh, Chudniv district, Zhytomyr region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
