Biography compiled by Viktor's wife, Oksana Petrovna Zubzhitska: "Redkin Viktor Mykolayovych was born on January 11, 1977, in the city of Krasny Luch, Luhansk region. In 1993, he graduated from Krasnoluch Secondary School No. 13. For two years, he worked in the security of the mining management in Miusinsk. In 1999, he was drafted for compulsory military service, and from 2000, he served under contract in the positions of commander of a reconnaissance group and senior instructor of the reconnaissance company of the special purpose of the Western Territorial Command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. In 2003-2004, holding the military rank of ensign, he carried out a peacekeeping mission as part of a special peacekeeping unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the international police forces of the UN mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) as a patrol officer, awarded the UN medal "In the Service of Peace." Later, he held positions as a senior instructor and deputy commander of the reconnaissance group of the special purpose company of the Western Territorial Command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. During his military service, he made about 10 parachute jumps. In 2005, he transferred to the internal affairs bodies, appointed assistant to the operational officer of the operational information protection department of the rapid response special unit "Sokil" of the organized crime control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Lviv region. He later resigned from this position at his own request. In 2010, he graduated from the Kharkiv National Academy of Internal Affairs. From 2007 to 2010, he worked as the head of the service control department of the Main Department for Consumer Rights Protection in Kyiv, and was an assistant judge. On May 17, 2010, he got married and moved to the city of Chernivtsi. On June 2, 2011, he was accepted for military service under contract in the ranks of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, holding the positions of platoon commander and company commander of the Ivano-Frankivsk 24th separate battalion (military unit 1241). On January 2, 2013, Viktor was awarded the initial officer rank of "Junior Lieutenant." During the events of the Revolution of Dignity, from January 1 to February 21, 2014, he led his subordinates in performing official combat tasks to maintain public order in Kyiv. On February 21, when his unit was guarding the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Viktor was informed that his mother had died in Luhansk, affected by the deaths of people on EuroMaidan and worrying about her son (her funeral took place on February 24)… He participated in the ATO for 10 months with small breaks for rotation. He died on November 1, 2014, in the village of Krymske, Novoaidar district, Luhansk region. By the order of the commander of the National Guard No. 123 dated November 3, 2014, Viktor Redkin was posthumously awarded the next military rank of "Lieutenant."Військова служба
