Viktor M. Zilinskyi

Born on August 22, 1967, in the urban-type settlement of Veselynove, Veselynivskyi District, Mykolaiv Oblast. Graduated from the secondary school of the urban-type settlement of Veselynove (now - Veselynivska District Humanitarian Gymnasium named after B.M. Mozolevskyi). Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Worked as a private entrepreneur providing car repair services in the urban-type settlement of Veselynove. On August 21, 2014, he was mobilized as a volunteer into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Within a month, he underwent training at the 169th Training Center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0665, urban-type settlement of Desna, Kozelets District, Chernihiv Oblast). Served as a gunner in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0998, city of Yavoriv, Lviv Oblast). Since the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On October 31, 2014, soldier Zilinsky was killed while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Smile, Slovianoserbskyi District, Luhansk Oblast. On November 5, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the urban-type settlement of Veselynove, Veselynivskyi District, Mykolaiv Oblast.
