- Sergeant Viktor Dombrovskyi (call sign Vais) was killed on June 23, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Potemkine in the Kherson region. He was forever 30 years old. Viktor was born in the village of Kotyurzhyntsi, Khmilnytskyi region. He lived in the city of Krasnohrad in the Kharkiv region. In 2016, he graduated from the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport. For some time, he worked at the Khrestishchenska Gas Compressor Service "Shebelynkahazvidbuvannia" of PJSC "Ukrgazvydobuvannia". In June 2014, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was a tank mechanic-driver of the "Bulat" tank. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In August, in the area of the village of Novosvitlivka, Luhansk region, he received numerous gunshot and shrapnel wounds as a result of shelling from the Grad MLRS. The news of the full-scale invasion caught Viktor at home in Krasnohrad. And instead of the planned treatment, he went to the military enlistment office. Later, he joined the ranks of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There he held the position of squad commander in the 98th battalion. "Viktor loved life, valued friendship... He believed that in life it is important to value time and not postpone the main thing for later; to accept a person as they are, and not try to correct and control them; to live now, in this very moment, because it will never happen again; to be grateful for the time that a loved one gives you, because it is the most valuable thing they have; not to mindlessly pour out your emotions on others, but to work with feelings, learn to analyze them and improve yourself independently. This is how we remember him," said the defender's mother, Maria. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Heroes in the city of Krasnohrad in the Kharkiv region. He is survived by his parents, brother, sister and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
