Viktor O. Moshenets

Sergeant Viktor Moshenets was killed on August 7, 2023, near the village of Berestove in the Kharkiv region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received injuries incompatible with life. The warrior was 44 years old. Viktor was born in the city of Ichnia, Chernihiv region. He studied at the local gymnasium named after S. Vasylchenko. He served his conscription. In 2008, he graduated from the Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine". In recent years, he worked as a salesman. He voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. He served in the guard company of the 1st department of the Pryluky RTCK and SP, and in March 2023 he was transferred to the 44th separate mechanized brigade. He held the position of senior rifleman-operator of the 5th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion. He defended the integrity of the state in the Kupiansk direction. "Always being in the zones of active hostilities, he never complained that it was difficult for him. On the contrary, he tried to support everyone, convincing them that everything would be fine. Those who knew him say that such people are extremely rare. He still had so many plans and unfulfilled dreams. He did not have time to see his son, whom he was waiting for so much," wrote his wife Yulia. Viktor was buried in his hometown. The warrior is survived by his mother, wife, and son.
