Viktor O. Slaboshevskyi

38-year-old fighter Viktor Slaboshevskyi was killed on August 18, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kostiantynivka area of Donetsk region. During enemy mortar and artillery shelling, the defender sustained fatal injuries. Viktor was from the city of Fastiv in Kyiv region. He studied at the local school No. 2. Then he obtained the profession of a wagon inspector-repairman at the Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport. He served his mandatory military service. After returning, he worked in his specialty at Ukrzaliznytsia, and later as a toolmaker at the company PrAT Vents. During the full-scale war, in April 2022, Viktor joined the ranks of the defenders. Initially, he was an operator of a mechanized company in one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fought in various directions. In the summer of 2023, he underwent training in Estonia, took the position of a gunner in a combat brigade, and went to defend Donetsk region. "Viktor was a sensitive, sincere, kind, caring and responsible person. He was always ready to help others. And there was always a smile on his face. He was a reliable support for his mother and sister, a beloved and loving husband for his wife, the best father for his children," the Fastiv City Council said. The serviceman was buried in the New Cemetery in his native Fastiv. The defender is survived by his mother Tamara, sister Zina, wife Olesya, son Yehor and daughter Albina.
