Viktor O. Sushkov (Sukhar)

Viktor Oleksandrovych Sushkov was born on August 15, 1991, in Yenakiieve, Donetsk Oblast. He spent his childhood in Chasiv Yar. After school, he graduated from Donetsk Professional College. He was a prizewinner of local and national crossfit competitions. Since September 24, 2014, he carried out combat missions as part of a military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Eastern Ukraine. In 2020, he graduated from the master's program of the Air Defense Faculty of the Ground Forces at the Kharkiv National Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub. During the full-scale Russian invasion, he held the position of commander of the control platoon of the 1039th Separate Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed on March 20, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the city of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. He was buried on March 23, 2022, in the village of Bodakva in the Zavodsk community of the Myrhorod district in Poltava Oblast. He is survived by his wife.
