Viktor O. Zhezherov (Mekhanik)

Sergeant Viktor Zhezherov (call sign Mechanic) was killed on October 29, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Berestove in the Donetsk region. He was 45 years old. Viktor was born in the village of Rozhniv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. After school, he earned a profession as a mechanic at the Rozhniv Vocational Lyceum. He worked in his specialty and loved his job. In his free time, he also engaged in cars, which was his passion. After the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion, he was mobilized into the ranks of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. “Viktor was a beloved and kind man. He loved my children very much. He had his own opinion and golden hands. He could do anything he set his mind to. We miss our Vitya,” said the wife of the fallen, Natalia. “It is hard to describe the burden of loss. It is hard to believe that we have to lose the best and most deserving sons of Ukraine. We express our sincerest condolences to the family of the fallen. May the good memory of Viktor remain in our hearts forever,” noted the Rozhniv community. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, Viktor was awaited by his wife and her children from previous relationships, for whom he became a true father.
