Viktor P. Smoliichuk (Dzhoker)

Soldier Viktor Smoliichuk (call sign Joker) was killed on March 14, 2023 in a battle with the occupiers in the area of the village of Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 27 years old. Viktor was born in the village of Ozeriany, Rivne region. He graduated from the Faculty of Ecology of the Rivne National University of Water Management and Nature Management. He worked as a foreman at the "Stolitco" enterprise, which specializes in the production of foam blocks, in the village of Varkovychi, Rivne region. He studied and loved history. During the full-scale invasion, the man voluntarily joined the army to defend his country from the enemy. He served in the 710th Brigade of the State Special Transport Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. He was a rifleman of the 1st assault company. "For me, Viktor is a brave and courageous patriot of his state. He voluntarily left his native home and stood up to defend his country. When going to war, he said: 'I know I have to be there.' He felt that his place was there, and he fought the occupiers until the last day," said Irina Smoliichuk, the wife of his brother. The warrior was buried in his native village. Viktor's parents and brother with his family are left behind.
