  Volynets Viktor Petrovych was born on July 12, 1967 in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Chernihiv Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots. After 2022, he began service in the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade. On March 1, 2023, the crew of a Su-24, consisting of Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Volynets and the navigator, was shot down near the city of Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region.
