- Senior Lieutenant Viktor Semenchuk (call sign Bison) was killed on December 25, 2023 near the settlement of Yampil in the Donetsk region. In the battle with the enemy, he received fatal injuries during an artillery barrage. Viktor was born in the village of Pidruddya, Zhytomyr region. In 2015-2021, he studied at the Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Tourism (2019) and a master's degree in Law Enforcement (2021). He was married and lived with his family in Zhytomyr. The university noted that he was remembered as a cheerful, friendly, and purposeful person who was always positive and had true friends and was a reliable friend to them. In October 2022, he was mobilized into the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 1st Operational Purpose Brigade "Bureviy". He was a platoon commander and a senior officer of the mortar battery. His wife Anna said that he was not only the best husband, father, son, grandson, and friend, but also the best commander and comrade-in-arms - kind, fair, prudent, never indifferent. He was always ready to help anyone at any time, could listen, see the good in people, give good advice, encourage in difficult times, forgive and draw conclusions. He was a true warrior, patriot, a model of indomitability and strength of spirit. He dreamed that his little daughter would live in an independent and indomitable country. He was a man of his word, honest, and straightforward. He was simply the best of the best. The hero was buried in his native village. Viktor is survived by his parents Serhiy Viktorovych and Kseniia Viktorivna, his wife Anna, daughter Arianna, grandmothers, grandfather, and other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
