Viktor V. Babenko (Picasso)

Victor Babenko (call sign Picasso), a National Guard soldier, was killed on July 13, 2023, in a battle with the enemy near the village of Kuzmyne in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 26 years old. Victor was born in the village of Krasne, Kherson region. He received secondary education. He lived with his family in the city of Zolochiv, Lviv region. He worked at LLC "Sandora". He loved sports and practiced kickboxing for some time. He was very sociable, had many friends, and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. In early 2018, the man decided to connect his life with the army and signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 15th separate Sloviansk regiment. He was a machine gunner. He carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Victor continued to fight against the occupiers and defend his homeland along with his comrades-in-arms. "Victor always strived to protect and help everyone, to liberate his own home from occupation. Very active, energetic, cheerful, and motivated. He was killed a hero and will forever remain one for me and everyone," said the deceased's wife, Oksana. The warrior was buried in the city of Zolochiv, Lviv region. At home, his wife, sisters, relatives, and friends were waiting for him.
