- Sergeant Viktor Denysov (call sign Flag) was killed on October 3, 2023, near the village of Nevelske in the Donetsk region. During a mortar attack, the defender sustained fatal injuries. Viktor was 58 years old. He was born in the village of Dranka in the Vinnytsia region, in a family of collective farmers. He studied at the local secondary school, then at the Bratslavsky Agricultural College, where he obtained the qualification of an electrician. In 1984-1986, he served his mandatory military service, and then served in law enforcement structures until 1994. For over 20 years, he worked at the railway enterprise "Wagon Section No. 2" in Zhmerynka as a 4th-grade electrician-mechanic for electrical equipment repair. He was highly respected and regarded by his colleagues for his skilled craftsmanship. In 2015-2021, he participated in the war in eastern Ukraine. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, he again took up the defense of the Motherland, holding the position of senior rifleman. "On the first day of the war, dad firmly said that he would not hide from mobilization and wanted to protect all of us. Since 2015, he has seen what the occupied cities and villages have turned into. And he always repeated that he did not want to see the same in his native Zhmerynka. He stood up to defend our independence and freedom," his daughter Olga said. The defender was buried in his native village, as he had requested. At home, Viktor was awaited by his wife Zoya, and daughters Natalia and Olga.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
